FAQ

How soon can I start Kangatraining?

6 weeks postpartum for a vaginal delivery and 12 weeks for caesarian, with an all-clear from your midwife or OB.

What kind of baby carrier do I need?

You’ll need a wide-based carrier that distributes your baby’s weight evenly across your body. A buckle carrier like Manduca, Ergo, Tula, Lillebaby etc. If you’re unsure about your carrier or fit, please feel free to ask me. I am a babywearing educator and am always happy to help! Half buckle, meh dais and woven wraps are also appropriate for Kangatraining. I have carriers available to rent for classes if you don’t have one that you can exercise with.

How can I do Kangatraining with twins?

If you have twins, you can bring a second caregiver for free!

What about my older kids?

Kangatraining is not just for non-mobile babies! Your toddlers and older kids are welcome. Chat with me and we’ll figure out the best way we can support your kids and make it fun for everyone.

What if I miss a class or can’t commit to a whole series?

Life happens and some days just getting out the door is hard. You can use that class credit to kanga another day.

I want to sign up, but that’s our nap time!

It’s ours too! Most babies find the movements soothing and will have a great nap while you’re working up a sweat.

I want to sign up, but my baby hates the carrier!

Book a consult! While there are some babies who truly don’t enjoy being carried, I’m confident we can make it a happy place for most of them. I can help with fit, different carriers to try and a confidence boost for you. Movement, music, fresh air and some socialization makes a world of difference.
